A Structured Approach to Learning Data Science

The Data Science Academy is a bundle of courses that is curated to accelerate a student’s mastery in building data products, develop machine learning models, and understand the core components that form the most of industrial-grade AI today.

Students are not assumed to have a working knowledge of R / Python / SQL or prior proficiency in statistics / mathematics / algebra. At such the workshop follows a gentle learning curve and emphasize on hands-on, one-to-one tutoring from our team of instructors and teaching assistants.

Throughout the course of the Academy, you will learn to build, evaluate and deploy your data science products, one project after another.

Yes! This program is open for those who does not have technical background previously. You will be taught the basics such as programming fundamentals and practical statistics; enabling this program to be opened to whoever who does not have techical background.

Zoom, Google Classroom, Github. The platform used with the offline class is almost the same overall. The only difference is for Online Learning Media, we will be using Zoom.

The training program from the Data Science Academy is address to those who are beginners up to intermediate level. The output of this program is to ensure that graduates have the right skills to:

  • Collect, clean, process and analyze data, visualize data, and create interactive dashboard.
  • Create machine learning algorithm that can predict, forecast, and provide decision making recommendations based on the data that is available.

During our 12-week Bootcamp, students must be able to commit to 4 days per week (Monday – Thursday) at 13:00-16:00 and 18.30-21.30 during the week and should expect to spend some time outside of the learning hours and over weekends to complete project work. As with any instruction, students will get as much out of the program as they put into it.

During our class, aside from the fact that our instructors will help you with structured learning from the fundamentals, if you encounter a problem, you can ask the Teaching Assistants directly to clarify your understanding and find a solution to the problem. In addition, we also have learning supports that may help including:

  1. QnA Session with the Teaching Assistants that will be held 30 minutes before the class starts. During this session, you can review and ask questions about the previous material.
  2. Mentoring Session. For those of you who need extra help in understanding the materials that you don’t yet understand, you can request a mentoring schedule. Mentoring is a private session with the instructors or teaching assistants that can be requested every once a week.
  3. Email mentoring. If you’re studying outside class hours and experiencing an obstacle, you can ask questions directly to our team email for answers.

Yes, this program is open for every university student from bachelor to master students. If you are an Indonesian students who study abroad, you can also apply to this program since we are going to do it via online learning.
