Learn statistical programming, data visualization, and machine learning with a beginner-friendly approach
The primary objective of this course is to provide a comprehensive introduction to the science of statistical programming, data visualization and machine learning in the most beginner-friendly way possible. Throughout the 3 days, we will take a learn-by-building approach to studying R, a language widely used in the field of data science and visualization. We will attempt some in-classroom quizzes, try out hands on building machine learning models, and understanding the nuanced art of visual storytelling with data.
The syllabus can be deconstructed into 3 big chapters, each consisting of multiple sub-chapters. The way the coursebook is composed place a huge amount of emphasis on practicality and real-world workflows. This often means we will accept the necessary trade-offs between theoretical elaboration and pedagogical considerations.
