Course Summary

As crime rates fluctuate and public safety becomes a growing concern, the demand for innovative solutions to enhance security and ensure peace of mind has never been more critical. This course is designed for the participants to learn how to implement an advanced machine learning technique, object detection, and use it to solve real-world problems. By exploring the capabilities of YOLOv8 (You Only Look Once), an object detection algorithm known for its exceptional speed and accuracy, students will embark on a journey to develop and deploy a system capable of recognizing weapons in diverse settings, ultimately contributing to safer community environments.

Throughout this 3-day workshop, participants will learn how object detection works with the help of YOLOv8, including its architecture, training processes, and evaluation of its performance. Practical sessions will guide participants through the entire pipeline of developing an object detection model, from collecting and annotating datasets to training and fine-tuning the model for optimal performance in detecting weapons within video feeds from ATMs and minimarkets. 

NOTE: This workshop will be delivered in Bahasa Indonesia.

Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to:
